SICILY. Agyrion. Circa 420-405 BC. Hemilitron (Bronze, 18 mm, 5.21 g, 12 h). APΓYPINAION Head of young male (river god Chrysas?) to right. Rev. ΠAΛAΓKAIOΣ Forepart of the river-god Palagkaios, in the form of a man-headed bull, to right. CNS III, 7. HGC 2, 56. SNG München 14. SNG ANS 1303. Rare and unusually attractive for this difficult issue. Minor roughness and with a few light scratches, otherwise, very fine.
